Our Story

I have known Barry for many years. In our early 20’s we went on a missionary trip together with a team up the Zambezi Delta’s to unreached places. It was a hard core time and the team of guys that rowed with me were incredible, determined men but at the same time true gentlemen. Barry was one of them with a heart of gold. He cares about the people around him and he is passionate about good food and baking. He came with a team and started “The Bakery, St Francis” a few years ago. It has an amazing vibe and they bake fresh sour dough and ciabatta loaves for the Green Box. They have many other mouth watering items on the Green Box that you can choose at your own leisure.
